Some FAQs about Willing Print and Design Services.
- Why should I have my documents printed professionally? Wouldn't it save money to print it at home on my inkjet printer?
Printing it yourself on an inkjet printer won't necessarily save you any money. Plus getting it professionally printed will look better and the ink won't run when wet.
- What is factored into pricing?
Size Matters. Printers figure your cost on how your job will fit on the press. Ask if your size is the most economical for the situation.
- Build a corporate identity. This is as easy as getting a logo and sticking with it for five to ten years. Your logo should appear the same on your business cards, letterhead, envelop es, signage… everywhere. Soon customers will recognize your logo without even having to read it.
- If your are designing something yourself, ask your printer what file formats they accept before you start. If you are using the printer's designer, bring what you ahve for graphics, photos, logos, and text. If you don't have any, the designer can help you get some together.
- Make sure your printer can meet your deadline.
- Ask your printer for paper suggestions. Upgrading your paper choice usually doesn't add much cost.
- Ask if digital print will fit your job. Sometimes you can get full-color printing for the same cost as two-color printing.
- Get an estimate. Make sure the estimate includes all charges, including plate and wash-up charges.
- Make sure to carefully proofread your proof. Carefully read the proof to make sure all spelling, grammar, phone numbers, addresses, etc. are correct.
- Keep your local dollars local. Make sure that your print job won't be farmed-out to some big print house in a big city.
